The Significance Effects of Learning from Home

Nowadays, the world is shocked by phenomenal virus which is very dangerous for everyone, the virus named as Corona Virus Disease/COVID. Many countries experiences this problem, there are some countries which have big cases dealing with this virus such as America, Italy, China, include Indonesia. Many people passed away because of this virus, the biggest case is in United States which get more than one million positive cases. This condition constrains many regulations to avoid growth of this virus, World Health Organization (WHO) suggests everyone should wear mask, wash hand, and keep physical distancing in general places to avoid spreading this virus. This article is mainly concerned about social and cultural effects of learning from home.
The first effect is isolation, everyone should isolate themselves in their home and they cannot interact with others. This condition also include students who learn from home, they must allow online learning for their schools to keep learn in this condition. Because of that, there are some students who have a problem with their connection, the students who have bad connection will miss the material which is delivered by teachers or lecturers. They cannot discuss about the material with teacher freely because of connection limitation. The tasks given by teacher in groups will not be effective because it needs intensive discussion between the group and teacher.
The second is honesty, in online learning students will examine their honesty when they face a kind of test which is implementation of material understanding. When the teachers instructs students to prepare the test closely, some of them will allow it means they really prepare well without any dishonesty, but some of them will make a kind of little note to write their answers. This kind of action is not right for learning process because it will teach them dishonesty for themselves. Teacher must find a way how to watch students when they face test. The parents will have an important role when teachen and learning process is going on.
Another bad impact of online learning is there is no control from parents during online learning, when they learn in school the teacher will control them during learning in class. In addition, when there is an online learning parents must control them, but some of parents ignore their children while online learning process. Lose control will make them ignore their honesty. It will affect their personality and intelligence in doing something, if this habit does not changed by them it will be a kind of habitual action that will become a bad culture. Dishonesty is a little thing for several people who ease principal discipline, but actually it is a big thing that can influence life of someone. If there are people apply it, they will find one of success way how to be a useful an successful person in future.
From these reasons above, online learning has significance effects for students who study from home. We can see that there are uneffective learning while online learning happen. We can also say that offline is more effective than online learning based on reasons above, not only the reason which are mentioned above, but there are another reasons which support thee idea. We hope that this condition becomes normal and students are able to study in school effectively that controlled by teachers and parents.
